Faith steps, not baby steps

This has been a life full of faith steps. It has not been easy over the years to obey what we believe God asks of us. Sometimes other people just don't understand why we do what we do when the cultural "norm" is so drastically different. But, I knew from the beginning that my life would be markedly different than the "norm." I just didn't know HOW different!

In Jeremiah 29, verse 28 it says, "He has sent this message to us in Babylon: It will be a long time. Therefore build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.' " The Lord showed us that verse in the spring of last year to show us that we were to put down roots in this city. This spring we have felt prompted to pursue a purchase of this house.

Putting a down payment as a volunteer in our organization will be a stretch in our faith. We've raised funds for many things in the past, but never this big. I know that God can and will provide. He always does.
